Max’s first cement plant was registered in Myanmar and is situated near Taung Philar Limestone deposit at Leiway township, Nay Pyi Taw region, has a capacity of producing 500 tons of cement per day. In Myanmar, a shortage of supply for cement due to the building of infrastructure and construction of highways, bridges, airports and dams.
Currently, there are a total of ten government and three private cement factories in Myanmar. The combined maximum capacity produced by these factories are about 2.4 million tons of cement per annum. The demand for cement is about twice the production and as such, the Company is aggressively moving forward to increase the production capacity.
